Adventure Racing

Adventure Racing is a multisport discipline that involves running, mountain biking, orienteering, and water sports such as kayaking, canoeing, and sailing. Students who take this sport must be self-motivated, good at working with others, and have a high level of fitness and a sense of adventure.

Participation in adventure racing is by invitation. Students wishing to participate must enquire with the teacher in charge.

Schedule

Seniors train and compete in events in preparation for the Hillary Challenge North Island Qualifier during Term 2. Juniors begin in Term 3 with the Get to Go Qualifier in August.

Students participate in teams around courses for events ranging from 3-12 hours long.

Levies

Fees for travel and accommodation costs are disbursed to students' accounts accordingly.
