St Paul’s Collegiate School’s triathletes competed in the Waikato Bay of Plenty Teams Triathlon Championships held at Lake Karapiro Domain, taking home gold and bronze medals.
Year 9 students Matthew Waddell, Oliver Larcombe and Isaac Reay placed first in the under-14 boys’ division with a time of 38.37 minutes, four minutes ahead of second place.
The under-16 boys team, consisting of Year 11 students Jacob Gibbs, Jack Deane and Angus Orsler, managed third place against tough competition, finishing with a time of 49.27 minutes.
Proud St Paul’s Triathlon Coach, Robert Aldridge, commended both teams’ superb efforts throughout their races.
