New Housemaster for Clark House

New Housemaster for Clark House

18 September 2024

Mr Rees-Gibbs has been a key member of the St Paul’s community since 2020, where he has served as a teacher of Sports Science and Mathematics. His leadership within Clark House began in 2021 as Assistant Housemaster, a role in which he excelled for two and a half years before stepping into the position of Deputy Housemaster at the start of this year.

With his extensive experience and established relationships within the boarding community, Mr Rees-Gibbs is well-prepared to take on the responsibilities of Housemaster. His familiarity with the day-to-day operations of Clark House and his strong connections with students and families will ensure a seamless transition as he assumes his new role.

Mr Rees-Gibbs is passionate about supporting young people in realising their potential, both academically and personally. He believes that strong, respectful relationships are central to fostering personal growth, and he has dedicated himself to building these connections within the classroom and boarding community. His goal is to create an environment where students feel empowered and supported in their journey towards becoming independent, confident adults.

Outside the classroom, Mr Rees-Gibbs has a distinguished sporting background, having been a member of the Black Sticks squad and captain of several national hockey teams. His leadership, determination, and commitment to excellence are qualities he brings to his new role as Housemaster.

St Paul’s looks forward to seeing the positive impact Mr Rees-Gibbs will continue to make in the lives of Clark House students. His wife Kate and their twins are excited to continue their close association with the school as they take on this new chapter in their lives.
