St Paul’s staff and students celebrated the success of senior students in 2022 NCEA and Cambridge subjects at a special assembly. Those recognised are given the award of Scholastic Centurion; to be a Scholastic Centurion, each student must have gained all credits with Excellence (in a course with more than 18 credits.) Additionally, they must receive either an A or A* in Cambridge.
Mr Jeremy Coley, Deputy Headmaster – Curriculum and Assessment, acknowledged the Scholastic Centurions. He says, "Let me commend each of you for your dedication and hard work. It is truly impressive to see students push themselves to such high levels of success and it is a testament to your character and your drive."
Mr Coley acknowledged that these students had been successful even with obstacles and disrupted learning over the past few years. "The path to knowledge is not always a straight one, and there will be times when you will encounter obstacles and face difficult decisions. But it is in these moments that your determination and perseverance will be put to the test."
