St Paul’s Collegiate School is one of New Zealand’s premier independent day and boarding schools. With a growing roll of 980 students, we provide a learning environment that fosters academic excellence, character development, and meaningful contributions beyond our school gates.
This is an exciting time to join our school. At the start of this year, we welcomed our first cohort of junior girls (Year 9). In 2027 this group will progress into Year 10, resulting in a fully co-educational school offering from Year 9 to Year 13 for all students. In response to this growth, we are seeking a motivated and skilled Science teacher to join our committed and well-established Science Department.
We're looking for an applicant who is confident in delivering the New Zealand Science Curriculum, with particular experience and interest in teaching junior Science. A willingness to integrate technology into teaching and a commitment to incorporating maatauranga Maaori into the learning environment are essential.
St Paul’s is well-resourced, with small class sizes and highly motivated, self-disciplined students. Staff enjoy a range of benefits, including daily cooked lunches, generous leave provisions, and a supportive, collegial environment. A competitive remuneration package is on offer, comprising the teacher salary scale plus a St Paul’s Allowance of $5,320 per annum. An annual bonus round also rewards staff involvement in our co-curricular programme and academic scholarship.
At St Paul’s, our vision is Cultivating Educated Contributors, and our mission is Inspiring Minds, Building Character, Shaping Futures. Alongside academic excellence, we are committed to being New Zealand’s premier boarding school, offering outstanding facilities, expert pastoral care, and diverse engagement opportunities for students. We are looking for staff who will embrace our vision and mission, and work with us to achieve our strategic goals.
This permanent, full-time role will commence in Term 1, 2027.
