St Paul’s Collegiate School is delighted to announce the appointment of two accomplished individuals to key positions within sport. Wendy Portegys, a seasoned netball coach with 30 years of experience, has been appointed as the Director of Netball, while Jet Lim, an accomplished coach with eight years of diverse experience, is taking on the role of Director of Football. Wendy Portegys – Director of Netball
Wendy brings a wealth of coaching expertise to St Paul’s. Her 30-year journey in coaching spans various levels, from primary school to high school and representative teams. Wendy has consistently demonstrated her ability to develop effective training programs, foster teamwork, and mentor individual players to reach their maximum potential. Committed to creating a positive and inclusive environment, Wendy emphasises the holistic development of student-athletes, combining academic growth, character development, and sportsmanship.
Wendy’s leadership skills, strong communication, and organizational abilities make her a valuable addition to the St Paul’s sports department. As a player, umpire, and volunteer, she offers a comprehensive understanding of netball from various perspectives.

Jet Lim – Director of Football
Jet Lim brings eight years of coaching experience to St Paul’s Collegiate School, with a diverse background ranging from community to high-performance coaching. His expertise lies in creating high-performance environments and establishing clear development pathways for both team and individual success. Jet’s experience includes schedule oversight, team development, operations management, and effective communication.
In his previous roles, including Assistant Head Coach at Melville United AFC and Head Coach at WaiBOP, Jet demonstrated his ability to improve team performance, organize travel arrangements, and maintain team facilities. His collaborative approach and commitment to athlete development make him an excellent fit for the Director of Football position at St Paul’s.
Jet expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "I look forward to contributing to the football program at St Paul’s and working with the talented athletes. It’s an exciting opportunity, and I am eager to be a part of the school’s sports legacy."
