Three talented netball players from St Paul’s Collegiate School have been announced in the top 20 secondary school netball players in the country.
Grace Watson (Year 11), Kate Littlejohn (Year 12) and Sophie Carr Paterson (Year 12) were selected for the tournament week A grade team following their performance at the upper North Island secondary schools competition earlier this month.
The tournament A grade team is a selection of the most exceptional players from the A grade division at UNISS, which consists of 32 secondary school teams from across New Zealand.
Kate Littlejohn said the tournament team recognises players as the top 20 netballers in New Zealand.
“It is a great achievement as there are so many players and teams competing and it is good to know that you are being looked at and recognised as a developing player,” she said.
The selection will help build the girls reputation and their netball careers, with their ultimate ambition to be selected for the Silver Ferns.
