A strong team of duathletes picked up two silver and one bronze at the Waikato Bay of Plenty Duathlon Championships, held at Karapiro Domain.
The boys’ under-14 pair, runner Oliver Barris and cyclist Oliver Larcombe (both Year 9), completed two 2.5km running legs and a 12km bike in 40.34 minutes to pick up St Paul’s first silver of the day.
For the under-16 and under-19 categories, teams were required to run two legs of 3.5km and 2.5km respectively, and complete a 16km bike leg.
Runner Miah McDonald and cyclist Jack Deane (both Year 11) finished in second place in the boys’ under-16 category with a time of 44.49 minutes.
Girls’ under-19 pair, Sarah Jackson and Zahyra Osborne (both Year 12) gained bronze with their finishing time of 52.39 minutes.
