Sebastian Ellice placed second overall, and first in his division (U20 mens) in the 6km race at the 75th Round the Bridges event, which was held over the weekend.
The race attracted record numbers this year with more than 6000 participants putting their feet to the pavement.
Seb was up against 2598 other runners, both male and female, in the 6km event and 219 participants in the U20 mens’ category.
Running at 15.7km/h the Hamilton-based runner was hard to beat and his win was no fluke. The 15-year-old places in the top three, consistently, at the Hamilton Parkrun 5km race which takes place at the Hamilton Lake every Saturday.
