School Uniform Shop Manager

St Paul’s Collegiate School is one of New Zealand’s premier independent day and boarding schools. With a growing roll of 880 students, we provide a learning environment that fosters academic excellence, character development, and meaningful contributions beyond our school gates.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic person to lead the daily operations of our School Shop, located within our newest campus building, The Hive. As one of the first points of contact for many of our school families, the School Shop plays an important role in creating a warm, welcoming and supportive experience for students, parents, staff and visitors.

Supported by our School Shop Retail Assistants, the School Shop Manager will oversee day-to-day retail operations, maintain high standards of presentation and shop layout, manage stock control and inventory rotation, manage staff and coordinate rosters during both term time and peak trading periods, and ensure efficient systems and processes are in place to support the smooth running of the shop.

This is a salaried, part-time position working 25 hours per week during school term time as well as selected school holiday periods to support peak operational needs. The role comes with a generous leave entitlement of at least 6 weeks per year (taken during school holidays).

We are looking for someone with proven leadership experience, along with experience in the retail sector. The successful candidate will have a passion for exceptional customer service, be a confident user of technology with a strong systems focus and value continuous improvement.
