Our final game for the season was the 3rd and 4th play-off game against HBHS Red. Our previous game of the season was a close encounter, with us winning 20-19. The game started well for us and Michael Robinson landed an early penalty for us to lead 3-0. A few minutes later, Harry Chittick barged over from First five for us to take an 8-0 lead. We then lost concentration and HBHS scored two quick tries to take the lead 10-8. Late in the halve, Lachie Parker picked up from a ruck and barged over for a try. Michael converted. Half time 17-10 to us. We played smartly in the second half and tactically kicked well. This meant we could control possession and territory. Murray Meyburgh, Elliott Dixon and Lachie Parker scored good second half tries. Michael converted all 3.
It was a nice way to finish a successful season for the U55 Gold team.
