The Under 14 team finished off the season with a fantastic win over Te Awamutu to finish 3rd in the competition. Played at home on our number 2 field, SPC dominated possession and played expansive and attacking rugby from the beginning of the match.
Throughout the game, our team utilised our excellent lineout drives as an attacking platform to tire the opposition and create space for our backline strikes. Equally impressive was our team's willingness to commit to defence. As a result of our defence, Te Awamutu struggled to gain territory and momentum throughout the match.
In the end, our teams 5 tries to Te Awamutu's 2 reflected our dominate performance and for our team, this was a thoroughly satisfying way to end a terrific season.
