As the A1 Boys are the second team for SPC, the thought was that the Prem Boys would “sweep the floor” with them. But they still came to play. Respecting each other, both teams decided that they would play as hard as they could, with a little bit of banter in between. In the first quarter the premier boys came out fast scoring almost at will. But with the help of young Rhys Paynter, and the power of sensational big man Max Dobbe, the A1 Boys would scrap hard and play their hardest. The score at halftime being 32 – 14 to the Prem Boys. In the second half some poor shooting from the A1 Boys would see them still trailing the play. With some Stephen Curry like passing from Reid Elkington and Andre Kleuskens, the Prem Boys would continue to lead the game. In the 4th Quarter, both teams would relax and play “fiddle ball” as the game was over. It was sensational big man Max Dobbe, who continued to show sparks as he would bully the Premier big men. A Michael Jordan, unhuman like dunk from the beast himself, Jack Boyd, would emphasise just how dominant the Prem Boys were over this team. Notable mentions being Rhys Paynter, scoring almost all of the A1’s points. Max Dobbe, dominating the post. Carter Elkington, with a game high of 17. Andre Kleuskens with an amazing number of assists. Written by C Elkington
