A game of mixed emotions for those on the side lines. We won the toss and from the whistle went straight on the attack with Maddy Tims scoring inside half a minute! However, our next spell of play saw us being a bit rushed, not as composed as we are capable of, and Aquinas scored twice inside 5 minutes. Towards the end of the half our play had settled and we scored twice through Phoebe Thompson (25th minute) and Jade Henley-Smith (27th minute).
3 – 2 up at the break but an insufficient lead. The second half saw us playing our more natural brand of hockey and we scored 4 more goals (Maddy, Zoe Lapwood, Ish Rawal and Emanae Ferguson) to Aquinas’ 1 goal to finish with a more satisfying 7 – 3 victory.
