Head Girl Jess Chanwai competed in the strings section of the Hamilton Competitions on Saturday 5 July at St Peter’s School Cambridge.
She was awarded:
- 1st for the Under 18 Years Duet class;
- the De Lacey Cup for the Best Duet Performance;
- 2nd place for the Under 18 Years Duet class;
- 2nd place for the Violin Recital Class;
- and 3rd place for the Violin 15 Years and Over Class.
She was also awarded the Hamilton Competitions Society President’s Rose Bowl which is the adjudicator’s choice for the performer of choice in the competition.
A staggering total of five awards throughout the day, a true testament to Jess' musical talent.
