St Paul’s 1st XI started strongly on a cold night against Waiuku High School. St Paul’s played well in patches with some good passing by the backs and midfield to create space for the forwards to score some excellent goals. Unfortunately at times St Paul’s struggled to communicate to each other and stick to the game plan which provided an opportunity for the opposition to score their only goal.
Half time score 4-1
In the second half St Paul’s played with better in structure and communication. They continued to attack the opposition goal and created more opportunities to score goals. The team was rewarded for their efforts by scoring 5 goals.
This weekend the First XI plays in the Pitu Cup Quadrangular at school. This tournament is crucial in preparation for Rankin Cup.
