Having come off a fairly solid defeat last week, it was pleasing to see the girls come out strongly this week. It took a little while to settle into a pattern but after 10 minutes we were able to score through Katherine Keddell off a penalty corner. Roxanne Dow scored shortly after and the next two goals were scored by Tara Vishwanath. Adelle Morton scored just before half time. 5 – 0 at the break.
St Paul’s did not let up and attacked from the start of the second half, scoring in the 1st minute (Tara), 3rd and 5th minutes (both Sarah Collinson-Smith) before things slowed up. Sarah scored 2 more goals in the second half. Dio had made their way into our defensive quarter on a number of occasions, but solid defence lead by Niamh Berridge saw their attacks nullified and St Paul’s finish with a resounding 10 – 0 win!
