St Paul’s Collegiate School’s 1st XI went on the attack in a game against Diocesan Junior A. From the opening whistle Dio Junior A was put under pressure although we weren’t able to score for much during the first half. We still dominated the first half with most of the possession and territory. Toni Anda scored 20 minutes into the first half giving St Paul’s a 1-0 lead at the break.
Basics and communication were discussed at half time and the team found that they started linking better in the second half. We scored through Renee Saunders converting a penalty corner in the 5th minute of the half and then a field goal through Laura McKenna three minutes later. Dio Junior A came back almost immediately to score their only point for the game. Following Dio Junior A’s goal we continued to work hard to score once more through Phoebe Boyes.
