We faced a tough opposition and knew we would have to play well. Our forwards dominated early play. We tried out players in different positions with the return of the Tihoi boys. This meant that we struggled with continuity.
At half time we were down 0-5.
In the second half we made too many mistakes, resulting in us being under constant pressure. We struggled to get out of our own half. Our defence was weak at times and we let in some soft tries. St John’s scored three more tries and we scored a 2 tries, both by Harrison Phillips.
We lost 12-24 and know that hard work lies ahead for the rest of the season
