Welcome to the A-division!
Although we started well forcing a PC in the fourth minute, Hillcrest were able to dominate. Their skill level and combinations were more polished than ours and they scored four goals in the first half. We had other problems too, losing two players to injury in the first half and at one stage just before half time playing with just 10 players.
A reworking of positions and a very gutsy second half saw us improve in the second half, but Hillcrest were too strong for us, scoring a further four goals. Some great individual performances, in miserable weather, and a commitment by all to the team deserves commendation – player of the day for her tireless effort especially in the first half went to Emanae Ferguson
