St Paul's lost an early wicket but slowly through Devon Nolan and then Chris Swanson with 57 St Paul's got back into the match. Opener Dillon Kelliher played some magical shots off the back foot and was cruising along effortlessly at times. Unfortunately Dillon went into his shell as his innings progressed and lost the positive intent he had earlier when he was finally caught for an excellent 88. Alastair Blackett joined Swanson and after struggling against the spinners worked his through it and made an excellent 55 not out along with Simon Morbey 25 not out as St Paul's made 255 for 5.
In reply St Paul's were more consistent with the ball than Tuesday but still conceded 15 wides and no balls. Cameron Wratt picked up a vital top order wicket to a smart catch by Kippa Fawcett. At the second drinks break the game was nicely balanced but Chris Swanson 2 for 37 from 8 and Bede Higgens 4 for 39 from 12 finished the Cambridge tail off, along with a smart run out by Kippa Fawcett as they were bowled out for 202.
A good win to St Paul's, but work is still needed on their consistency with the ball as we are still bowling too many 4 balls and giving away too many extras.
