St Paul's got off to an excellent start again through Kippa Fawcett who batted very fluently for 38 and Dillon Kelliher with a typically hard hit 55 but unfortunately both players found a way to get out just as big scores beckoned. Cue for the third week in a row another middle order collapse as St Paul's went from 84 for 0 to 141 for 6. Throughout the carnage captain Chris Swanson batted responsibly to hold the innings together. Once again he found an able ally in Simon Morbey 32 as they added 96 to see St Paul's through to a respectable total. In the end the pair were able to dominate the Waikare bowling with Swanson bringing up his 3rd century for the school's 1st XI (4th in total) in making 109 not out as St Paul's made 271 for 9.
A tired Waikare side then came out to bat and after scoring 33 without loss were then completely blown away by a fast and hostile opening spell from Simon Morbey and Tom Yarrall. Senior bowler Morbey took 4 for 42 but it was Yarrall who had the slightly better return hitting the stumps 5 times and having one wicket caught by Cameron Wratt as he took 6 for 14. Waikare were bowled out for 59 as Yarrall became the first bowler in just over a year to take 6 wickets and get onto the 1st XI honours board.
