St Paul's traveled to Tokoroa and bowled first. Tokoroa were off to a slow and steady start against accurate bowling from Simon Morbey 2 for 15 from 10 and Tom Yarrall 2 for 19 from 8. Captain Anthony Meacheam play a captains knock for 73 but when he was bowled by Alastair Blackett who took 3 for 34 from 8 the innings lost momentum as Tokoroa were out for 161. It was a disciplined effort from St Paul's who bowled and fielded efficiently.
In reply St Paul's made no race of it as openers Dillon Kelliher with 86 not out and Kippa Fawcett 65 not out played with a mixture of power and elegance to run down the total none down in 34 overs.
