The girls entered in second place knowing that winning would ensure at least a second place in the division finish against the third place team Fraser. The opening exchanges were closely fought but composure on the ball and good possession ensured that St Paul's started dominating possession and it was no surprise when Loren Morse coolly converted to make it 1-0.
The second half was characterised by swift passing, as the girls' continued to open up the opposition but chances went begging until Georgia Burke, with a strong run and finish made it 2-0. As the game drew to a close, Shani Fernando scored to make it 3-0.
Next week the team play at Matamata – a must win game if they are to win their division
