The girls entered the match burdened with illness and injury against one the top of the table team. The girls fought hard in the opening exchanges but were lucky not to be 1-0 down when Matamata hit the bar. Then from a cleared corner Ashleigh Porritt thumped the ball into the top corner from 30 yards. The best goal of the season for her first ever goal. Unfortunately the team then conceded a sloppy goal.
In the second half the girls exerted steady pressure and Shani Fernando skilful deflected a shot into the net from an excellent Georgia Burke cross. Unfortunately another sloppy goal made it 2-2 before Claudia Miles taped in her first ever goal. The team desrevd to win but unfortunately conceded another goal – final score 3-3
