The SPC u16 kept some of their best rugby for the last game of the season. The first half was characterised by rock solid defense which kept SPC in touch. The lead changed hands throughout the game, with an intercept try from Jae Broomfield and accurate kicking from Harry Trumm keeping to scoreboard ticking over. The second half was a hard fought contest and a try by Layken Tua gave SPC the lead. Up by 4 points with 5 minutes to play, too many penalties allowed Ham Boys back in. As the pressure mounted, the SPC defence finally cracked in the final second Ham Boys sneaking in a 5 pointer. The unconverted try meant the u16's had to settle for 4th place overall.
