CNI Semi-Final

Venue: St Pauls 1
Result: Won
Score: 44-15

Last Saturday August 10th the first XV took on the Feilding first XV in the semi-final of the CNI Competition. After playing them only a few weeks ago and winning by only 10, we knew that they were going to show up and bring the fight to us. Lincoln Winter was the first to score in the early minutes of the game followed by Feilding replying with their own try after some solid St. Paul’s defence. Then the game took a turn when Isaac West got yellow carded forcing SPC to play with a man down. Then in the second half we began to take control of the game getting more ball and beginning to score more try’s through the forwards and through the backs. Then we lost or momentum when the ref went into his pocket again and red carded Havila Molia. But luckily Nickolas Karton came off the bench for his first game this season making a notable impact and helping the boys to finish strong. Notable performances include; the danger man Matty J and Malachi – overall the whole team played very well and will now be playing in the CNI final this weekend 12pm at St Pauls will be looking forward to seeing your support.
Final Score: 44 – 15 to St Paul’s Man of the Match: Quintin Cotton
