A superb batting performance by Baxter Mackay saw him score his maiden century for the 1st XI in 54 balls including 10 6's and 3 4's. Baxter and Chris Fawcett 37, put on 146 runs for the 1st wicket. Malcolm Luman waded in with 44 runs in 18 balls including 4 6's and 3 4's for St Paul’s to post a formidable total of 214/3 in 20 overs – a target of 10.75 runs per over. Cambridge were never in the game and were restricted to 84/3 in their 20 overs thanks to very tight bowling and superb fielding. St Paul’s won by 130 runs.
