St Paul's won the toss and elected to bat with Dillon Kelliher (34) and Chris Fawcett (24) in blistering form putting on 45 for the first wicket at a rate of 5 an over. Scott Finlayson (24), Chris Swanson (27), Alistair Blackett (23), Josh Malpas (21) all looked good but fell well short of the mark to injudicious shots. It was Joel Kosoof 31• with his best score for the 1st XI who showed any resilience and mental toughness to see St Paul's through a respectable total of 214.
St Peter's were under the pump early at 10/3 thanks to a brilliant opening spell by Josh Malpas 2/7 (he actually also bowled another batsman but the bails did not fall off) and were behind the eight ball throughout their innings to be bowled out for 104. Guy Wilkins 3/24, Bede Higgins 2/21 and Scott Finlayson 2/12 were the best of the bowlers.
St Paul’s won the game by 110 runs.
