The first half started well with some good combinations and passing around the bright blue turf. A lapse in concentration saw Tauranga score first and this led to a flat 10 minutes patch, 5 minutes into the second half Aidan Lee buried a drag flick bottom left, however Tauranga responded shortly afterwards through a penalty corner breakdown to go up 2-1. George Greenhill levelled the scores at 2-2 and then Sam McClay took St Paul's up 3-2 with 5 minutes to play. A scorpion like save by Lane Tims with the back of his heal and penalty corner run down by George saw the score stay at 3-2. St Paul's wins the Kamai Cup.
