We made a good start and close to half time lead 12-7 with a try to Jock Yarndley after some excellent driving play by the forwards. This try seemed to spur Wesley into life though, and shortly before half time they clicked into a different gear and St Paul’s had no answer. Wesley launched wave after wave of attack and the physicality of the Wesley forwards and backs proved hard to stop. George Dyer, Ferg Burke and Liam Allen played a strong game, though all players showed strong leadership skills. Ferg Burke also had an excellent day with the boot kicking 3 from 3 in difficult windy conditions.
