With a sense of nervousness the 1stXV took on Hamilton Boys on Saturday. With several injuries to key players we were far from full strength. Despite this we got off to a great start dominating the game and frustrating the opposition. After 10mins Ferg Burke scored an excellent solo try and a penalty shortly after saw us leading 11-0. Slowly but surely Hamilton Boys got into their work and two tries saw them take slender lead into half time. Running into the wind the boys found the going tough and eventually the score ballooned out to , which was not a fair reflection of the game. The boys should be proud of their efforts and have a week off to rest some tired and soar bodies.
