The 2nd XV had a tough battle against Morrinsville 1st XV. The first half was fiercely contested with no points scored. In the second half Morrinsville strike first with an unlucky try, straight after the boys replied through Aaron Humble breaking the line to score under the posts. He dotted down again later in the game to put the boys ahead. In the dying minutes of the game Morrinsville scored a try to make the score 15 - 12. The boys showed the Wairua required to finish the game and produced the goods.
