We knew that Cambridge would be a quality side and that we would need to start the game well. Unfortunately, we made a poor start after a very poor warm-up. This allowed Cambridge to dominate the first ten minutes with them winning the breakdown battle. After 15 minutes, Cambridge was leading 7-5.
Our boys finally woke up after a great individual run by Harry Johnstone, scoring under the posts. The forwards took control and started dominating Cambridge. Brae Taylor scored two tries in the first half.
Half time score was 22-7. In the second half, we did not use the wind well and struggled through the half, scoring two late tries. This brought up a hat trick of tries for Brae.
We will need to play as a team and stick to our structure if we are to beat St John’s this weekend.
