The St Paul's U16 Rugby Team started well against Hamilton Boys High School Red Team when George Hayward scored in the first 5 minutes of the game. A wayward pass allowed the opposition to hit back straight away when an interception saw them run the full length of the field. This was to be the story of the day as for each try we scored, Hamilton Boys replied within a matter of minutes. Half-time score 12 - 12.
The second half was a nail biter, and with 2 minutes left in the game Hamilton Boys were 5 points ahead. A kick through by Campbell Robb allowed Caleb Weck to dot down in the corner and even up the score. Unfortunately we missed the conversion and the game finished 27 all. A much improved performance by the St Paul's Collegiate School under 16 rugby team.
