The U65Kg, in soft under foot conditions, started slowly, conceding four tries to Cambridge in the first half. The high body positions in scrums and rucks meant the side was at first out muscled. In the second half, we had the better of territory and position and contested well at the breakdown and as a result, each side scored just one try a piece (Daniel Pearse scoring for SPC).
Player of the Day, Jesse Hill, tackled fearlessly and kicked intelligently, while Captain, Harry Smith led by example, taking the ball up continuously and was resolute on defence. Unfortunately a loss to the top of the table Cambridge side.
