It was perhaps appropriate to make the Under 65s the team of the week in their semi-final against Matamata, who had been unbeaten through the season. St Pauls produced one of their best games of the season. The first half was closely contested with St Pauls having the slight edge. Half time score 7-5 to St Pauls. As expected Matamata came back in the second half. Grit and determination with outstanding defence saw St Paul’s hold the game.
