Open A played off for a placement in the prestigious Thursday night netball league. This is where only the top 6 Waikato teams play. It is a rare event for a secondary school team to make the league. Fraser Tech needed the win to hold their place and fought hard for it. St. Paul's took the lead through to half time but dropped back by 4 in the third quarter. The final quarter saw us catch up and be goal for goal. With 42 seconds on the clock we were 1 up and it was the oppositions centre pass. Fortunately the long arm of Libby Clayton reached out and took their ball giving us possession til the final whistle. Final score 34/33 to an elated St Paul's.
