The 1st XI boys hockey team played at Gallagher hockey stadium in the semi-final of the Waikato Secondary School's Championships. The 1st XI took control of the game from the start by scoring a goal in the opening play from a overhead pass from Reuben Andrews to Ben Sarikaya into the opposition circle who slotted the goal. The 1st XI continuously attacked and pressed the opposition throughout the game which led to some good team goals. The half time score 3- nil led to St Paul's.
In the second half the 1st XI continued to dominate possession but failed to take up all of their opportunities by only scoring three goals. Hauarkai Plains College competed well and were rewarded by scoring from a PC in the final play of the game
