The team combined well in the first quarter keeping a physical Fairfield team out of the paint, ending the quarter up by five. Starting the second quarter Fairfield quickly were up by ten and held the lead to close out the first half. In the third quarter St Paul's fought hard to catch Fairfield. Jack Boyd led the fightback with five both defensive and offensive boards as well as 12 points, giving him a double-double for the game. The fourth quarter saw renewed vigor from St Paul's who got to within 8 of an energetic Fairfield at the beginning of the quarter. St Paul's were within reach of taking back the game but some unlucky calls and a deep three point shot from Fairfield kept the game just out of grasp. Leading point scorers were Jack Boyd, Logan Jarvis and Carter Elkington with 12, 11 and 10 respectively.
