The Under 65kg St Paul's team continued their good start to the season by beating the top HBHS side 24 -22. The first half team had four Year 9 students playing: Joshua Cane, Troy Glasson, Lucas Mark and Hector Munro. They were ably assisted by the more experienced Isaac West, Toby Coupar, Gareth Guscott and Eli Potter who all played excellent games. The game was close in the first half with the half time score being 15 -12 to HBHS. Tries were score by Jessie Hill and Louis Brown. The second half turned into a battle of wills with both teams looking likely to win the game. Gareth Guscott scored during the half and Harry Smith scored the winning try in the last 5 minutes. The Boys High Team nominated Eli Potter as their man of the match, while Jesse Hill was given the player of the day award.
