Unfortunately, due to a poor first half performance, we found ourselves chasing the game in the second half and having to force passes which resulted in a lot of dropped ball. To the credit of the Development XV, we managed to hold Morrinsville scoreless in the second half and score two well-constructed tries ourselves but fell 4 points short.
Overall, the boys are to be congratulated on the way that they have persevered this season. Playing in the 1st Division was never going to be easy, but they showed that they were good enough to compete. Their commitment and loyalty to the team has seen them grow from strength to strength and develop not only as players, but as young men.
