The last game of the domestic league saw us go out with instructions to try out new skills and ideas. Both teams started of enthusiastically with St Paul’s taking the upper hand. Putting constant pressure on their defensive circle we were eventually able to convert a penalty, through Renee Saunders, in the 15th minute. This saw us start a scoring roll scoring a further 3 goals in the next 6 minutes. (Maddy Tims – 2, and Jade Henley-Smith – 1). 4 – 0 at the break.
The second half saw Dio step up their defense and it was 22 minutes before Zoe Lapwood hit a great shot into the circle and Emanae Ferguson deflected it into the top of the net. The only goal in the half saw us finish 5 – 0 victors.
