On a chilly Monday night, the St Paul's team headed down to Gower park to face a competitive St Peters 1st XI for the next round of the Waikato Secondary Schools Knock out Cup. Playing without a few of our best players, this game was always going to be tough. We started slow and struggled to really get out of our half but managed to hold our own for most of the first half, bar one sloppy goal. Going into the second half 1-0 down we knew that we would have to go hard to equalize. However this didn’t happen. Although most of the team went hard, we panicked a lot and didn’t manage to equalize. This left the game at 1-0 to St Peters, this result isn’t too disappointing as Boys high also lost to St Peters 1-0.
