We played in testing windy conditions and knew that we would have to pay special attention to handling.
After a slow start the boys kicked into gear and our forwards all played their best game of the season. For once we dominated the breakdown and managed to clear the rucks really well. This gave the backs good front foot ball and they ran well, supporting the ball carrier and keeping their depth.
By half time we scored 8 tries and were leading 46-0
We continued the momentum in the second half and used the strong wind well. We scored 5 more tries and Te Awamutu scored one try.
