The game started really well with Valynce Crosby-Te Whare scoring a try from the first play of the game, carving through the St Peters backline. Mathew Caskie converted. After that the game turned, with St Peter’s players really taking it to our boys. St Peter's dominated set piece, winning clean lineout ball and disrupting ours. Their scrum was also on top all game. After a mistake defending our line, St Peter's dived on a loose ball and scored to lock the game up at 7 all. St Paul’s then applied some good pressure from open play and Jeevan Singh scored in the corner, for St Paul’s to take a 12-7 lead into half time. In the second half the game turned into a scrappy arm wrestle with no further points being scored. Our guys escaping with a lucky win having been out played for most of the game.
