St Paul’s stepped up their performance from last week beating Fraser High School 62 – 17 in difficult conditions on Saturday morning. The forwards maintained their focus and apart from a couple of errors dominated all phases of play, never allowing the Fraser forwards to gain any momentum. The backs ran freely moving the ball wide at every opportunity. Ten tries were scored – three each to Albert Talakai and captain Daniel Johnson. All the boys played well but the standout was Mercedes Hodge who controlled the game at first five. He kicked 6 conversions.
