The game was very close in the first half, with St Paul’s looking the more dangerous in the backs, but Boys' High dominating up front and gained a lot of turn overs. Eventually St Paul’s got on top as the large Boys' High players tired. St Paul’s dominated the rest of the game, running away winners 43-7. Valynce Crosby-Te Whare was outstanding with 4 trys. Luke Donaldson, Wilson Wolfe and Lachie Finch also crossed for trys.
