Monday night was the first game of the season with the girls coming back from their holidays early to play Diocesan Girls Senior Blue team.
Half the team had never played a hockey match before but all were keen to get out there and play. So with many girls learning the role of their position for the first time we took to the field.
Dio Senior Blue had definitely had many more games together as a team and were soon on the score board. At the end of the first half the St Paul’s girls started to settle into the game.
The second half saw some good passages of play, more accurate passing and solid defence from the team.
