St Paul's Collegiate School is a leading independent school situated in Hamilton, which has a commitment to providing education of the highest quality for its students.
With a large school campus with park-like grounds, we seek a skilled and hard-working Gardener to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for keeping the Gardens at our school looking their best. This will include weeding, plant rotation, pruning and trimming as well as hard surface spraying. Your expertise will also be utilised for new Garden development, with garden design and plant selection.
You'll ideally have qualifications or previous experience in a Gardener/Landscaper role and have experience with chemical application and spraying. You'll need to be physically fit as bending and heavy lifting will be a regular requirement of this role.
In addition to gardening, you will also support the Grounds Team with additional duties around the school such as lawn mowing.
We're a small and very busy Grounds team, so the ability to get on with the job at hand and work independently as well as help other team members as needed is a necessity.
This part-time role is 24 hours per week, including an 8 hour shift on a Saturday. Successful applicants must be able to pass a police vet check and have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
